DXC Technology is a Virginia-based leading technology services. Company in the United States that provides end-to-end information technology services to various industries and clients in the private and public sectors. The Fortune 500 Company is a component of the Standard & Poor’s 500 Stock Index. And is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

DXC Technology is a US service company formed from the merger of CSC and the Enterprise Services division of Hewlett-Packard Enterprise. CSC comes from the consulting professions, while HPE comes from the outsourcing and infrastructure professions.

1.1 Historical CSC

CSC was founded in the year of 1959 by Fletcher Jones and  Roy Nutt. 

By 1962 the company had annual sales of over $ 1 million and 6 years later, in 1968. It became the first publicly traded computer software company. 

In May 2016, the merger between the business services activities of Hewlett Packard Enterprise and CSC was announced, in a transaction valued at $ 8.5 billion. These merged activities represent 37% of HP Enterprise activities for a turnover of 4.7 billion dollars.

1.2 Historical Merger

In April 3, 2017, the DXC Technology group opened on the New York Stock Exchange under the acronym “DXC” and joined the S&P 500 index. 

July 5, 2017, DXC Technology announced the acquisition of Tribridge. A Microsoft Dynamics 365 integrator with 740 employees in the United States and Europe for an amount of $ 152 million. 

On March 1, 2018, the company announced the acquisition of M-Power Solutions. An Oracle partner operating in Australia and New Zealand. 

June 1, 2018, DXC separated from its US public sector activities, which were renamed Perspecta. This new company goes public on the NYSE: PRSP stock exchange after a merger with Vencore and KGS Holding; it has 14,000 employees and $ 4.2 billion pro forma.

In March 2020, DXC announced the sale of its health-related business for $ 5 billion to Veritas Capital.

2. Organization

DXC Technology has an offer organized according to 3 commercial divisions:

  • Global Infrastructure Services 51% of turnover: provides infrastructure services, which are now moving towards cloud computing and information security offers.
  • Public Sector 11% of turnover: the offer geared towards the American public sector was renamed Perspecta in June 2018. After a merger with Vencore and KGS Holding.
  • Global Business Services 38% of revenue: Provides software applications and IT services to businesses.

3. DXC Technology in France

In France, DXC, which had more than 3,000 employees in 2018, is located at La Défense. The national headquarters and for Southern Europe, Toulouse, Grenoble, Lyon, Lille and Strasbourg. Pierre Bruno has been President France since 2013 and CEO for Southern Europe.

The Southern Europe region includes France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, and Portugal.
